“Most democracies in the world have a variety of political parties.” – RFK Jr.
This weekend’s leading Kennedy news:
Douglas MacKinnon writes, “By any measure, RFK Jr. is beyond a legitimate candidate who is not only growing his popularity in the face of media censorship, but outraising ‘major’ Republican candidates.” – Opinion: The un-American disenfranchisement of RFK Jr. voters | The Hill
- “Worried that third-party bids from a centrist group called No Labels and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. could siphon off votes from Biden in key states like Pennsylvania, Michigan and Arizona, American Bridge has hired prominent election attorney Marc Elias to help thwart these outsider bids, among other things.” – Biden allies plot to thwart third-party bids that threaten his reelection | AOL News
- “No Labels and Kennedy, two challengers who are not connected to each other, have amassed among the most well-funded and well-organized outsider bids in modern political history to test the major party firewall, political experts say.…Tony Lyons, the head of the pro-Kennedy Super PAC, said Americans should be ‘outraged’ by the lengths Democrats have gone to prevent third-party bids. ‘We live in a democracy, at least we are supposed to. How is it possible, even legal, to keep spending millions to keep a candidate off the ballot or tie them up in nonsense legal fights?’ Lyons said.” – Biden allies plot to thwart third-party bids that threaten his reelection | Reuters
More Kennedy news:
Reaching out to African American voters:
“Much of Kennedy’s pitch was focused on increasing capital in Black communities. He said that boosting economic prosperity – through home ownership, and more Black-owned banks and businesses – would help Black people overcome bigotry. ‘That’s the way we deal with racism, not by pretending we’re going to end it,’ Kennedy said. The audience cheered.” – RFK Jr. courts Black voters in Atlanta as Biden support drops | Politico
Kennedy on Dr. Fauci’s congressional testimony:
Kennedy continued: “To make matters worse, the virus that leaked from the lab was the product of U.S.-funded bioweapons research. That is no longer a ‘conspiracy theory’ or even a theory. It is a fact.”
RFK Jr. in Hawaii:
“We are looking for leaders that are outspoken, that aren’t calling for coercion,” supporter Sheldon Doney of Pearl City said. “We really value his take on civil liberties and human rights.” – Hundreds turn out to support RFK Jr.’s bid for presidency | Honolulu Star-Advertiser

Getting to know Kennedy’s wife and potential First Lady, Cheryl Hines:
In this Messenger article, Hines makes an interesting point: “‘At the same time, I often think about what his life has been like – to watch his uncle be assassinated and then watch his father be assassinated. I do find it mysterious and odd and all of it to be larger-than-life. But when people say that he believes in conspiracies, I mean, people do conspire to do bad things,’ she explained.… ‘Watching him in the courtroom for the Monsanto trial, where they were suing over Roundup weed killer causing cancer, you see the emails that people share, people inside Monsanto who knew this was happening,’ she continued. ‘Is that a conspiracy? Yes. But when people say he’s a conspiracy theorist, I really don’t know what to make of that. I mean, what is a conspiracy theorist? I’m asking you.’” – Cheryl Hines ‘Doesn’t Know What to Make’ of People Calling Husband Robert F. Kennedy Jr. a ‘Conspiracy Theorist’ | The Messenger
Biden’s plan to have the media spin him into positive polling is not working:
Roger Kimball writes, “Joe Biden’s ostrich response is to insist that the media start reporting on the economy ‘the right way,’ i.e., in a way that reflects well, if untruthfully, on the Biden administration. Pravda used to do the same thing. Most economists are predicting that the US economy will enter recession this year. But that unpleasant news is at odds with the happy pink unicorn tale that the Biden administration requires.” – The course of the American empire | The Spectator World
We wrap with Kennedy’s focus on recovery from addiction. I cannot tell you how many people have been moved by RFK Jr.’s honest, direct discussion of his journey to sobriety. It came up again in this article about the recent Raleigh rally: “When asked why they support Kennedy, one attendee said, ‘Bobby has 40 years of recovery. He goes to nine meetings a week. I have 18 years of recovery. It sends chills down my spine to think, if he becomes president, what that says to people who are struggling with addiction. ‘All you gotta do is get clean. Anything is possible.’ He is the ultimate hope that you can change your life and you can get it together.” – RFK rally draws crowd in Raleigh | Carolina Journal.
